Samantha Chapman is a writer of literary fantasy and horror, blending the magical with the everyday to explore the depths of human connection. Her work dives into themes of love, friendship, injustice, queerness, mental health, and the quiet ways our lives intersect and transform. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Samantha now lives in Massachusetts with her partner, Eric.

She is currently at work on The Threshold, a fantasy-horror novel about a woman who stumbles into a crumbling pocket world where nothing, including her own past, is quite as it seems. Samantha’s poetry and prose balance lyrical language with emotional honesty, inviting readers to step through the veil of the ordinary into something stranger and more profound.
When she’s not writing, Samantha is an accountant by day and a political organizer by night, serving as the treasurer for the Boston Democratic Socialists of America. She is passionate about creating stories that speak to the complexity of the human experience and hopes her work offers readers both escape and reflection.
